Just closed a 3/2/2 home in Lake Worth in the subdivision of Chestnut Hill. It was a HAFA approved short sale. The distressed homeowner received a $3,000 cash incentive from the lender at closing. The lender waived the right for a deficiency judgment. It was a Well Fargo HAFA short sale. It went relatively smoothly. The garage had been converted to a bedroom, so we were not accepting any FHA offers. Too many FHA appraisals kill the deal because of converted garages.
